Before Akorn Entertainment was started, Producer Jeffrey Horn was heavily entrenched in the world of high speed video working on such TV shows as "Sharp Shooters" (History Channel), "Boom" (Spike TV), and "Accident Investigator" (Discovery Networks) and various music videos employing super slow-mo. Given this background, Akorn was called upon to help create the camera look and feel for this Menomena food fight video. Director of Photography, David Rodriguez and Co-Director David Newman came down to our then office in San Juan Capistrano to test the camera speeds and develop the strategy to accessorize the camera with a follow focus, lens adapters, and steady-cam mounting. It was really a pleasure to work with the Warren Julius team as well and producer Jenna Felling from Smuggler Productions. What a bang up organization that is with a lot to admire and learn from. Beyond the development of the workflow, we aided on-set as camera operations. All in all this was an amazing experience and one rottenHELL of a food fight!
